Injury or illness:
We will contact you if your child is not well enough to remain at school owing to injury or illness.
Safeguarding Children:
Please note that we will follow the Wandsworth Local Safeguading Board guidelines by respondnig to any indication that a child might be experiencing any form of abuse.
If your child has complex medical needs, the school will do its best to give the care needed. However, it is essential that these needs are discussed openly and honestly prior to a place being offered. The school must be sure that it feels able to meet your child's needs safely within the limits of its existing resources.
Please note that Dolphin School is committed to meeting children's individual needs, but must be sure it is able to do so adequately within the limits of its existing resources. All learning needs causing concern must be discussed as a condition of entry. Please request our SEN addmissions policy if in doubt.
In the event of a serious accident, every attempt will be made to contact the parent or emergency contact, and an ambulance will be phoned for immediately. If parents are unable to be contacted, an ambulance will be called and a member of staff will accompany the child.
If your child has prescribed medince that needs to be taken during school hours, it is necessary for you to write a letter giving the school permission to administer the medicien to your children and giving clear, precise instructions as to how the medicine is administered.
External use of photographs
Your child's photo can appear in an advert, in the school prospectus, in a magazine/newspaper, social media, a promotional film or on the public area of the school's website.
Internal use of photographs
Your child can be included in photos such as class photos, cast phots, some of which appear on the secure area of the website, on notice boards around school, as well as in the printed school year book.
Please note that your child would have to be removed from a class or cast photo, or from the school year book if permission is withheld.
To make is easier for parents and staff, it is our policy to have one permission form which covers each child's career at Dolphin School. We ask parents to sign this form, giving permission for their child's participation in all school outings. This form should be completed before children start their first term. Pupils may participate in a number of trips during the school year, details of which are sent to you in advance by email.
This form also covers permission to attend sporting or artistic activities arranged by the school.
I give permission for my child to attend any school trips or sporting activities. I understand that he/she wil travel by bus, minibus, coach, train, car or will walk, depending on the nature of the trip.
Each year we send out a contact list which includes mobile phone and email address to parents in your class. Please indicate if you would like your details to be included or omitted from the list.
