Year 2 Sapphires have been learning about the seaside in Geography this half the term. As part of this, we have done some work on lighthouses and the famous heroine Grace Darling. She rescued a group of people by boat in 1838 when she had spotted a problem with their ship from her home – a lighthouse on Brownsman Island. Year 2 also celebrated World Environment Day by creating posters with a particular focus on plants and trees. They used their persuasive writing skills. Well done Evie, Milo and Ned.
