Year 4 have been using scientific methods to actively investigate the properties of solids, liquids and gases this past week. They identified which could flow, which could retain their size or shape and which of these states of matter could be compressed – when squeezed with all the energy that a wee Year Four pupil can muster! Today, they’ve extended their investigations to identify the properties of sand and cornflour, resulting in some fascinating observations and a very dusty looking science lab. Well done Year 4 – keep wondering!
