On Thursday last week, excitement mounted as Upper School realised Christmas had come early. From wreaths to Christmas cards, the children all made gifts in the spirit of giving. The Year 3 and 4 children made Christmas wreaths from scratch, working in a team to build their structures. They carefully wove the willow into shape and covered each wreath with moss and Christmas decorations. The children were thrilled when they found out that their wreaths had been gifted to each class and hung with care on each classroom door.
The Year 5 and 6 children designed and made their own linos. The children worked hard to cut the lino, (persevering even after a few cuts) to make prints on cards and wrapping paper.
The cards will be going to our neighbours and local businesses to wish them a happy Christmas. Thank you to our inspiring guests Louisa Judith and Robbie Honey for bringing their expertise to Dolphin School.
